Effective and timely help with stress using hypnotherapy and IEMT in Hampshire
Stress is a response to perceived danger.
The origins of stress are positive, it’s our fight, flight or freeze mechanism that kept us from being hurt by wild animals, other humans and other dangerous situations.
The stress response releases adrenalin in to the blood stream and gets the body ready to fight or run. It’s an effect where your body is getting you prepared to keep you safe.
The problem with the stress response is that along with real danger it can be triggered by uncomfortable situations and imagined problems too. Imagined situations happen when we interpret situations and find them uncomfortable and it has the same effect as a physical situation.
This includes things like:
- inter-personal tension
- inability to cope with situations
- perception of unfair situations
- time pressures
Because we are all unique then how you react to events will be different to me and the level of discomfort where your mind invoke a stress response will be different too.
Unfortunately in modern social situations, working in an office or with clients it’s not acceptable to run away and hide or bash them over the head so we bottle it up and try get on with life.
Continually dealing with situations where we invoke the stress response has negative effects on body and mind.
- Bad sleep
- Memory Issues
- Mood problems
have all been linked to persistent stressful situations.
Our attempts to deal with stress often lead to behaviours that try to mask the effects like eating more or drinking more that usual. In some cases it can be more serious.
How Can I Help?
There are generally several phases of help that need to be provided:
- what’s going on now
- finding out how you do this to yourself
- learn about what’s going on and how to manage it.
- change what you believe so you know you are going to live through it.
Hypnotherapy and IEMT are both very good at sorting out what’s going on now.
Hypnotherapy is very good at helping you with how to change the way that you deal with stress.
If it was simple then you’d be doing it already. Fortunately it’s not hard to do or to learn how to do these things.
