About Me

Essentially about the man and the tools of his trade, so here's my elevator speech.

Peter French, Hypnotherapist

Who Am I

My name is Peter French

What Do I Do

As a person:

I'm a husband and Dad and that's important to me.

I am fairly active;  I climb rocks, ski, go snowshoeing, sail, go for walks by the sea and take pictures of the world around me. The images on this site are part of the world I live in.

I spent a long time working in stressful environments within companies who know the cost of a person but not their value.

Like most people, when you meet me you won't know that my life has ups and downs. It seems to be a human trait that we all assume the rest of the world has it easy and we are the only ones with "things going wrong".

As a person who helps:

A general description of what I do is helping with mind based processes. Sometimes I help people change something they regard as bad to something good. Other times it's changing something good and making it even better.

I'm a qualified to use hypnosis and hypnotherapy to help people with a range of issues and challenges.

I'm also qualified to use eye movement therapy which is a rapid way to change perceptions about issues.

I found out that some of the main tools I use in this line of work are:

  • empathy
  • an ability to listen
  • an active imagination
  • an inquisitive nature
  • a sense of humour

It's important to have goals for the work we do together, but it doesn't mean that we can't have a little fun on the way.
