I have successfully provided a lot of people with help with insomnia.
What Is Insomnia?
Insomnia is a condition where you consistently fail to get to sleep, or get back to sleep if woken for some reason in the night.
Do I Have A Cure?
In Short, No!
However if you asked if I could help you assess the things that get in the way of you sleeping and show you one or more ways to overcome them, then I would answer Yes!
What’s The Difference?
Insomnia like many other terms to do with physical and mental health is a blanket term.
I used to ask people what problem they had getting to sleep and many replied none. Then they would clarify that they get in bed and sleep initially. Invariably they wake up to visit the toilet in the night and then find it impossible to get back to sleep.
The penny dropped, everyone has their own version of insomnia. And although your doctor has a set of pills that they can use to help, dealing with it using hypnosis, we have to work out what the pattern is before I can help.
There is no one size fits all solution.
So if you want to start by helping yourself then you can start to take control. Start to work out what’s stopping you sleeping:
Do you have thoughts that are running through your head and keeping you awake?
Are you too warm in bed?
Are you too cold in bed?
Is there light in your bedroom when you are trying to sleep?
Is your bed uncomfortable?
What and when do you eat before sleeping?
What do you do before going to bed?
Do you watch TV in bed?
Do you update your social media and email in bed?
Do you need to feel clean when you get in to bed?
These are basic things. Some of them are ones that you can deal with. Others need help from someone like me!
